President Biden issued a proclamation on May 17, 2023, recognizing Armed Forces Day 2024. In his proclamation, the President stated that Armed Forces Day "is an opportunity for all Americans to express our profound gratitude to the men and women who have worn the uniform of our Armed Forces." He also urged all Americans to "take time to remember the sacrifices made by our service members and their families, and to rededicate ourselves to supporting those who defend our freedom."
